Local Recreation
  Resort Destination

The Potholes Recreation Area boasts over 60 lakes in a 10 mile radius. Boat, fish, swim, watch wildlife and hike. Potholes Reservoir, the largest of the lakes at 28,000 acres, was just voted "The Best of Washington Lakes" for bass fishing. On boating and fishing the sand islands on the North end of Potholes Reservoir : "It’s all so comfortable, and only 3 hours from Seattle, though you feel as if you’ve traveled half-way across the country and fallen lazily into a hammock. You continue to throw line and marvel at a setting somewhat reminiscent of the Everglades." Dusty Routh writes in Northwest Fly Fishing magazine, Fall 2005.

Explore miles and miles of shoreline in your pleasure boat or jet ski. Waterski the still waters of the Lind Coulee protected by tall sandy banks. Take your family on a sunset cruise.

Did we mention the 300 days of sunshine? Come see why our visitors keep coming back for more!

  Local Wildlife Refuge

The Columbia Wildlife Refuge is just miles from our front door. This refuge was formed by fire, ice, flood and volcano as part of the Great Missoula Floods during the Ice Age. Deep canyons were eroded into the basalt columns forming Washington’s famous Channeled Scablands.

The northern part of the refuge is a combination of cliffs, canyons, lakes and the remains of lava flows. This area is called the Drumheller Channels and was designated a National Natural Landmark in 1986.

In this amazing landscape we have the opportunity to view many species of watchable wildlife in their native habitat. Additionally, our area was just recently named a National Highway and Byway and is recognized as the "Coulee Corridor" which stretches from Othello to Grand Coulee.
